It’s been a while since the Ty Isaf animals appeared on the Artlog, but yesterday we received two beautiful drawings by our young friends Morgan and Nancy, and I decided to post them for everyone to enjoy. They had come to Aberystwyth a couple of weeks ago to see my exhibition. The girls’ parents had kindly loaned a couple of paintings for the show, and so a trip had been on the cards for quite a while. However, although Morgan and Nancy were kind enough to write in their letters that they’d greatly enjoyed my exhibition, I think their drawings prove that frisbee throwing on the lawn for Jack and stroking Basil and Seren in the paddock were the true highlights of their weekend in Wales.
Nancy’s splendid picture of a multi-coloured Seren, a wild rabbit (of which we have far too many due to the fact that Jack befriends them) and Jack… who you can see at the extreme left… jumping to retrieve his red frisbee.
Morgan’s beautiful depiction of Jack teasing by putting his paws on his frisbee at the same time as he invites you to throw it for him, and a splendid robin in the holly tree!
I think that both Morgan and Nancy show great promise with their drawing skills, and I wouldn’t be at all surprised one day were either or both of them to follow career paths in the visual arts. Many thanks to their parents John and Rebecca for sending the drawings. We shall treasure them.
