This painting is huge, and although I’ve raised the easel as high as it can go in my present studio (it’s up against the ceiling) that still leaves the lower third of the painting at the level of my thighs. The new studio we plan will be much higher and I’ll be able to raise the easel to its maximum. No more working on my knees. But that won’t be for some time yet.
