Making the most of the good weather here by moving outdoors onto the rose terrace to cut the lino-blocks for the cover image of Damian Walford Davies’ forthcoming book from Seren, Witch. Two blocks each for front and back. Next week I’ll print them off and forward the artwork to the publisher, together with separate artwork of the title and author’s name, made by using inked and cut paper in a collage technique. All must be completed before the Easter break. This is not as hard on the wrist and shoulder as cutting wood-blocks, but because I don’t do it every day, my muscles are protesting. The subject matter is Zekiel, a marmoset belonging to a central character.

Getting there!

Not a bad view either! That’s the River Ystwyth glinting through the trees. Later, once the leaves are fully out, we lose sight of all but a glimmer of the water.
