Some of you… those who subscribe… received a post today about the recent review of the two books published last year, my monograph and The Book of Ystwyth.
A great friend who I trust… thank you F … wrote to stay my hand. I saw the sense in what she said and I’ve withdrawn the post. I thank all those who wrote immediately to the Artlog to support me. It meant a lot. The truth is that the moment I pressed the button to put up the open letter, I felt as tainted by the act as I had by T C’s poisonous review. So that’s an end to it. A very few of you saw what I had to say. I meant all of it, though it didn’t make me feel any better to see it here. I am not like him.
The Artlog is where I get to be informal with friends and supporters, and as such I want to keep it a clean, creative place. I don’t want that man’s name here, don’t any longer want to think about what he wrote. I’ve spent the last few days in his head, and let me tell you it wasn’t a good place to be.
My very best to all of you.
