I posted this sketch of a new Saint Kevin drawing a week ago, and today I’ve started work in earnest on the full scale version, a detail of which I’ve posted below. I’m hoping that things will go a little faster now that I don’t have the distraction of so many house-guests here to see the exhibition.
Can’t wait to see the finished product! I like how he fills the frame with a monolithic stillness, yet the falling leaves keep things moving.
Oh I do love those falling leaves!
And you know, now I can’t see them without hearing Philip Glass arpeggios! I look forward to autumn, when I’m bombarded by cascading symphonies!
Note to Artlog readers: Thom refers here to the fact that we share a passion for Phillip Glass, and he knows I often play Glass in the studio when I’m working.
